For the second week, finish reading Chapters 1 and 2 of the textbook and turn in HW 1 on the 6th.
HW 2 on Chapter 2 will be posted this week. If you want to read ahead, we will only be covering Section 5 of Chapter 3, so you can read that section. Labs will be starting next week.

Lab sections begin this week. Please attend. Please read Section 5 of Chapter 3 and continue on to Chapter 4 for the following week, if you are so inclined. HW 2 on Chapter 2 will be due on Wednesday. HW 3 on Section 5 of Chapter 3 will be due Wednesday, 9/20. It will be posted soon.

Please attend lab section this week. The deadline for HW 3 has been extended to this Wednesday, the 20th, at the beginning of lecture. Look at the problems, at least, before lecture on Monday since we have already covered the relevant equations (see equation sheet). Be reading Chapter 4 (excluding Sections 4.9 and 4.10) since we will be covering it this week in lecture and in lab.
